Course Overview
At QULASSKILLS LTD, we deliver a high-quality Paediatric First Aid course designed to provide you with the vital knowledge and confidence needed to respond effectively in emergency situations involving babies and children. This blended course consists of 6 hours of online E-Learning, followed by a 6-hour in-person classroom session, making up a total of 12 guided learning hours. Upon registration, learners will receive a detailed E-Learning package that must be completed within six weeks prior to attending the practical session. Our training fully meets the statutory framework requirements outlined by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is recognised by Ofsted.

Course Content Includes:

  1. Primary assessment of emergencies and scene safety
  2. Supporting an unresponsive baby or child (breathing and non-breathing)
  3. Seizure management in infants and children
  4. Managing choking episodes in babies and children
  5. Treating external bleeding and wounds
  6. Recognising and treating shock
  7. Administering care for anaphylactic shock
  8. Response to electric shock incidents
  9. Treatment for burns and scalds
  10. Identifying and managing fractures
  11. Care for spinal, neck, and head injuries
  12. Managing poisoning incidents
  13. Handling foreign objects in eyes, ears, or nose
  14. Treating eye injuries
  15. First aid for insect bites and stings
  16. Understanding the risks of extreme heat or cold and how to respond
